U.S. Bicycle Route 35 is a 500-mile route that runs from Indiana through Michigan to Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, generally following the Lake Michigan shoreline and through the eastern Upper Peninsula. Most of the route follows secondary paved roads. Some sections are on established rails to trails. Our area uses the Hart-Montague Trail, the Whitehall Trail, the Fred Meijer Berry Junction Trail, and the Muskegon Lakeshore Trail.
